
Mrs. Davis brings 30 years of teaching experience, including 12 years at MAPS, working with students from Kindergarten through Junior High. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Union College and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Outdoor Teaching from Southern Adventist University. She is passionate about learning, nature, and helping students grow in their walk with God.

Mrs. Weir-Mckoy has a love for God, and a deep desire to grow her students to know Jesus. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching and holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.

We are pleased to welcome Quinn Gillespie Sanker as our new 3rd–4th grade teacher. Originally from Oregon, Mrs. Sanker recently graduated from Union College with a degree in Elementary Education. She brings a wealth of experience working with children, having served for four summers as a camp counselor and activities director. We are excited to have her join the MAPS family and look forward to the enthusiasm and dedication she brings to our school community.

Mrs. Heidi Rarangol serves as the homeroom teacher for grades 5 and 6 and teaches Science and Math for grades 5 through 8. A proud alumna of MAPS, Mrs. Rarangol is in her fifth year of teaching. She recently completed her Master’s degree in STEM Education. Committed to both academic excellence and spiritual growth, she strives to lead her students into a closer relationship with Jesus while equipping them with the tools they need to succeed.

Miss Olin is the homeroom teacher for grades 7 and 8 and also serves as the Social Studies and Language Arts teacher for grades 5 through 8. She is currently in her third year of teaching at MAPS. Miss Olin is from Illinois and is a graduate of Union College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in History Education with a minor in English. She is passionate about sharing her love for history with her students and brings valuable experience working with young people. Miss Olin views teaching as a ministry to which God has called her.’

Mrs. Achilles-Wong, known to students as Ms. Cheri, was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She joined our MAPS family in 2014. She has a deep love for children and finds joy in their smiles and laughter. She is always ready to help. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as exploring the outdoors.

Kimberly Alvarez-Rubio is the Spanish teacher for English-speaking students at MAPS. She brings creativity and enthusiasm to her classroom, making language learning fun while helping students connect with Hispanic culture. Kimberly is married and a proud mother of twins. We are truly blessed to have her as part of the MAPS community.

Mrs. Natalya Shabykeeva serves as the Music Teacher at MAPS. She holds a degree in music and is an accomplished pianist and vocalist. In addition to her role as a parent within the MAPS community, Mrs. Shabykeeva contributes as a dedicated volunteer and substitute teacher. We are honored to have her expertise and commitment as part of our team.

Meet Pastor Alex Sarria, our energetic PE teacher with 9 years of pastoring experience and a passion for health and fitness. A Level One CrossFit trainer and associate pastor at Manassas SDA Church and MAPS, he blends physical activity with spiritual growth. Married to Suranny and father of two sons, Pastor Alex is excited to lead fun, motivating PE classes that inspire students to enjoy fitness and stay active.

Ms. Kala Cote is our technology and substitute teacher. Known for her creativity, fun teaching style, and commitment to excellence, Ms. Cote brings great energy and care to every classroom she enters. Her daughter, Kora, is a student at MAPS, and we’re grateful to have both of them as part of our school family.

Mileybi Leon is dedicated to serving others and plays an important role in supporting students after school. She enjoys listening to students, playing games that build connection, and offering encouragement. Passionate about ministry, she is committed to helping others grow emotionally, academically, and spiritually.

Mrs. Karla, originally from El Salvador, is married and has two daughters. She joined the MAPS community in 2021 as a volunteer and began serving as a substitute teacher in 2023. With experience in classroom settings and a passion for working with children, she looks forward to supporting students in the upcoming school year.

Erika Martinez has been a valued part of the MAPS community for two years. As our school custodian, she is known for her positive attitude, helpful spirit, and dedication to keeping our campus clean and welcoming. Erika takes great pride in her work and is committed to making our school a beautiful place for students and staff.
